Stillwater Startup Weekend UNI
What is Startup Weekend
Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 2,900 past events in 150 countries around the world.
Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

2016 Startup Weekend
In 2016 The Riata Center for Entrepreneurship once again hosted its annual OSU Startup Weekend Uni which serviced over 80 OSU students from varies majors across campus at Kicker World Headquarters in Stillwater, OK. Each attendee had the opportunity not only to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas to a room of their peers, but vote and form teams around their top 10 favorites. 54 hours later, with enough creativity, innovation, and red bull, 10 startups were founded and ready to be present in front of a panel of professional judges and peers that would determine our top 3 teams.
